Meet Roseborn Boateng, Founder & CEO of Root for Books. Raised in a Ghanaian household in the Bronx, NY, Roseborn obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Bridgeport. After graduating, she worked in TV production in Los Angeles before becoming a realtor in central New Jersey.

Roseborn's background in the television industry and real estate has given her invaluable experiences and knowledge that she brings to her passion project, Root for Books. Her goal is to provide children in need with access to books and educational opportunities, which is a cause close to her heart.

Growing up in Ghana, she had a profound love for reading, but books were scarce. Creating an organization that would provide children in need of books felt natural to her. Her upbringing taught her the importance of education and its power, and she hopes to share that with others through Root for Books.

In addition to her work with Root for Books, Roseborn actively participates in multiple community service projects. She wants to see more Ghanaian youth exposed to the same opportunities she had during her collegiate career. There is a great lack of literacy in Ghana, especially in smaller regions, and she is committed to making a difference.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Favorite Book: Tough question for a book lover, Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling and Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.
